Career and Pathways

The College can plan a deliberate pathway for students who are motivated to gain a good job.

A work pathway is designed to help students learn practical skills and on the job positions while gaining NCEA Level 2 and Level 3.  We have a dedicated Careers Advisor to assist students and families.

During the year students can attend the Careers Expo, and trips to a variety of universities, polytechnics, and workplaces to help them gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them.

We invite guest speakers to help update students about course options, enrolment, budgeting, and flatting advice. We have several industry experts who showcase the latest developments in their industries to our students.

Drivers Licence

The school mantra of be ‘Ready for Life’ includes having access to the appropriate licences.  A Drivers Licence ‘unlocks’ access to many positions of work and creates independence for youth.

We offer the learners licence for $50.00 per student and the school covers the rest of the cost.  Mentor driving lessons and Forklift Licence are also available for students.
