You will learn how to write a business plan and compile a budget. How to structure your business, how to deal with Inland Revenue, PAYE, GST, FBT, and ACC. An introduction to cash management, financial control and use of expenses to reduce your tax bill. Learn a lot about planning, organising, communication, training and problem solving. The course objective is to help you set up and run your own successful business venture and to equip you with skills to avoid the many problems that could occur.
We recommend you take this course before moving onto the Accounting for Successful Business course or the Successful Business Management with your Computer course.

Accounting for Successful Business
Recommended pre-requisite is Starting a Successful Business. It is suitable for starting or operating a small business or club accounts. You will learn how to read the accounting statements provided by your accountant. Whatever type of business operation you are involved with, you must learn how to use and understand the accounting information. We will teach you how to record and control cash income and payments, calculate GST, and check your work with the bank statements. You will learn about budgeting and cash flow forcasting, using the monthly 'bottom line' to control your business. How to deal with your bank and furnish them with the information needed to help you with a loan. Learn how to prepare a costing for whatever activity you deal with and how to compare your financial results with industry standards. Finally learn about the cost of holding stock and methods to keep better control in this area.
The course will teach you the logic of accounting by use of a calculator and pencil, before moving onto use of a computer.

Successful Business Management with your Computer
Recommended pre-requisite is Starting a Successful Business. This course is suitable for those starting or operating a small business or club accounts.
You will learn how to record and control income and expenditure, calculate GST and check your accounts with your bank statement, as well as learn about budgets and cash flow forecasting.
Two tutors will cover accounting and computer case studies that can be easily transferred to your "real world" situations. Course Fee: $70
