Principal's Message

Queen Elizabeth College has been a part of the Palmerston North educational community since 1906.

I am proud to be the Principal of this College. Queen Elizabeth College is a small College which gives students many opportunities to succeed whether that success is in the academic, sporting, technological or cultural arena. One of the strengths of our College is the staff/student ratio. We aim to keep junior classes to twenty to ensure learning is at an appropriate level for the student. Our other strengths include the acceptance of individual differences and the ability to cater for individual needs.

The staff are enthusiastic about the College and they are always ready to “go the extra mile” for the students. A major focus over the last two and a half years has been the development of a school-wide literacy programme. Since 2005 the College has been involved in the secondary Numeracy Project. Both of these developments are aimed at raising achievement.

Queen Elizabeth College is “the best kept secret” in Palmerston North and we would like the opportunity to become part of your education by offering you well-balanced and quality programmes.

Queen Elizabeth College prides itself on having a warm, friendly, family environment.
