Welcome to Queen Elizabeth College!
“Nau te rourou, naku te rourou Ma te kotahitanga o te tangata ka whai hua.”
- Your basket and my basket, together we make a difference.
- Your basket and my basket, together we make a difference.
The whakatauki above reflects the collaborative relationship that Queen Elizabeth College strives for with the families of students who attend the school. Queen Elizabeth College strongly values the importance of whānau. Working in a collaborative relationship, we each bring resources that contribute to the success of the students, providing opportunities to realise their potential, whether that is in the academic, sporting, cultural or technological arenas.
The vision of Queen Elizabeth College is clear. We support and promote, Queen Elizabeth being a learning community of excellence and innovation, offering a wide range of courses in a supportive learning environment.
- We have the ability to offer small class sizes,
- We have flexibility in meeting individual learning needs,
- We celebrate the successes of our students and foster pride,
- We provide students with opportunities to participate in a number of extra-curricular activities,
- We have a caring and committed staff, who work in the best interests of all students.
Queen Elizabeth College is a co-educational school, with a student centred philosophy, which values whānau, and acceptance of individual differences. Our school is sited on large attractive grounds, with excellent facilities. Our students make significant contribution to the school community, especially in the area of sport.
Therefore our mission truly reflects what we are as a school:
“Queen Elizabeth College will provide innovative learning opportunities that promote excellence.”
