NCEA Information

Fees and Financial Assistance 

Financial Assistance applications for 2014 can be made from now. Please note that students that recieved Financial Assistance in 2013 must re-apply for this year. For more information visit the NZQA website (follow this link) or contact Lucy Jackson at school.

Also the fees can now be paid. Full Fees are $80 and if you qualify for Financial Assistance the fess are $20.  


Queen Elizabeth College offers the opportunity for students to achieve NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 in the Senior School (Years 11 - 13).

 

NCEA Level One

Requires a minimum of 80 credits at Level 1 or above. Of these credits, 10 credits must be from the prescribed Literacy standards as well as 10 credits from the prescribed Numeracy standards.

Note:

Queen Elizabeth Students need to gain a minimum of 60 NCEA credits to progress in the following year as a Year 12.

NCEA Level Two

Requires a minimum of 80 credits. Of these credits, 60 must be at Level 2 or above.

Note:

Queen Elizabeth Students need to gain a minimum of 40 NCEA credits at Level 2 or above, to progress in the following year as a Year 13.

NCEA Level Three

Requires a minimum of 80 credits. Of these credits, 60 must be at Level 3 or above.

To qualify for Entrance to Universities students need to have a minimum of 42 credits at Level 3 or higher, made up 14 credits from 1 approved subject, 14 credits from another approved subject and another 14 credits from one or two additional domains or approved subjects. Also students need to meet the Literacy requirement of 8 credits at Level 2 or higher, with 4 of the credits in reading and 4 of the credits in writing.  Finally students need to meet the Numeracy requirement of 14 credits at Level1 or higher.
