Principal's Message

“Nau te rourou, naku te rourou

Ma te kotahitanga o te tangata ka whai hua.”

Your basket and my basket, together we make a difference.

The whakatauki above reflects the collaborative relationship that Queen Elizabeth College strives for with the families of students who attend the school. Queen Elizabeth College strongly value the importance of whanau. Working in a collaborative relationship, we each bring resources that contribute to the success of the students, providing opportunities to realise their potential, whether that is in the academic, sporting, cultural or technological arenas.

The vision of Queen Elizabeth College is clear. We support and promote, “learning for success in life”, offering a wide range of courses in a supportive environment.

•  We have the ability to offer small class sizes,

•  We have flexibility in meeting individual learning needs,

•  We celebrate the successes of our students,

•  We provide students with opportunities to compete in sport, and experience success.

There are exciting times of change ahead for Queen Elizabeth College . New senior management and a dedicated teaching staff reflect we are fully resourced to provide for the needs of our students.

Queen Elizabeth College is a co-educational school, with a student centred philosophy, which values whanau, and acceptance of individual differences. Our school is sited on large attractive grounds, with all the required facilities. Our students make significant contribution to the school community, especially in the area of sport.

Therefore our mission truly reflects what we are as a school:

“To provide opportunities for all students to achieve success and develop into life long learners who are independent and socially responsible people.”

No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou katoa
